Courses and Services

Study Hall Service

This service is offered for the benefit of Primary school students, Highschool students and adult students who need special assistance with studies.  Students who need to use a computer or TIP’s library, will also benefit greatly from this service.  If you are a student who often needs the convenience of a quiet comfortable place to do undisturbed studies or home work, you will find that this service is especially for you.  Tutors are always on hand ready willing and able to help you with your studies.

Study Hall service is available on Mondays & Tuesdays from 4:00pm-7:00pm.  The registration fee for Study Hall is $10.00 and the rate for the use of the Study Hall is only $1.00 per hour.  During the Study Hall hours, computer printing is $0.50 per page and the use of the Internet is 10¢ per minute.  A group of qualified and highly motivated tutors are ready, willing and able to assist you the student in areas where you may need special help.

All students registered in other courses as well as participating tutors are also registered for Study hall.

 

Primary Studies Enhancement Program

The Primary Studies Enhancement Program is designed for the benefit of the students in the final year at Primary School. This course will also benefit the students, who will be sitting the PSE exam in March and May, 2004.

The Primary Studies Enhancement Program consists of thirty sessions, in three terms. Tutors will assist students in developing techniques in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Tutors will also review the PSE syllabus with you, conduct trial exams and work with you in areas where you may need special help.

PSE preparation sessions are held on Saturdays from 1:00pm-3:15pm. Registration fee is $25 and the course fee is $50 per term of ten weeks.  Flexible payment schemes are available at your request.

Your course tutors are: English (Miss Keisha Zuniga, Mrs. Lenna Morgan), Math (Mr. Hervan Morgan Jr., Miss Levaun Morgan) and Science and Social Studies are integrated in the Language an Math sessions.

This years PSE preparation course includes sports training sessions, a student exchange program, as well as participation in Radio and TV programs.  This course also includes a PSE clinic with Teachers who specialize in English, Math and Science and Social Studies.

 

CSEC (Carribbean secondary examination certificate) Preparation Course

The CSEC preparation courses are designed for the benefit of the students who wish to sit the CSEC exams in English A, English B, Math, Information Technology, Biology and Chemistry in June 2003.  This course however, may also be taken by students who wish to gain a working knowledge of these subjects at the CSEC level.

The CSEC preparation course consists of thirty sessions during which the tutors will review the CSEC syllabus with you, conduct trail exams and coach you in areas where you might need special help.

CSEC preparation sessions are held on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30pm-7:00pm.  Registration is $25.00 and the course fee is $50.00 per term of 10 weeks for each subject.  Flexible payment schemes are available at your request.

Your course tutors for CSEC preparation are: English A/B (Mrs. Lorna Sampson), (Mr. Hervan Morgan Sr.) and Information Technology (Mr. James Lewis). The Biology and the Chemistry workshops will be conducted by Mr. Philip Morgan PHD.
